Who can apply for child support?

Any parent, guardian or caretaker, such as a grandparent, is eligible to apply for child support services to establish paternity and/or establish, modify and enforce a child support order. Child support services are automatically provided to all custodial parents receiving public assistance (temporary assistance, safety net, foster care and Medicaid).

Services are free of charge except for activities that involve an attorney.
