Interstate Cases
In interstate cases, the states where parents live ensure that children receive the support they deserve.
What happens if the custodial parent (CP) and the non-custodial parent (NCP) live in different states?
An interstate case is one in which the custodial parent lives in one state and the non-custodial parent lives in another state. In such cases, the CSE Unit in connection with the child support agencies in other states, can still provide the full range of child support services.
