Calculation Guideline 2 of 3: Calculating the basic support obligation based on the number of children involved
The court multiplies the annual income (after allowable deductions) by the guideline percentage for the number of children involved (see chart below):

Let's look at a calculation example where there are two children involved and the non-custodial parent's annual income is $20,000 (after deductions):
