Support Collection: Tracking and Collecting Missed Payments

The Support Collection Unit (SCU) monitors each child support account to ensure that payments are made in full and on time. When payments are not made in full or are late, the unpaid amount is called "arrears."

Depending on the amount of the arrears, the SCU has the authority to take various enforcement actions to collect the arrears. These actions are reviewed under Support Enforcement.
