License Suspension
What Happens?
Court orders the appropriate State agency issuing the license to conduct a hearing to determine the status of the non-custodial parent's business, professional, occupational or recreational license based on a violation of child support law. Unless arrears are paid, the agency will suspend the license.
Why it Happens?
The license suspension review is conducted on request if the court establishes that the past due support is equal to or greater than the amount of four months payment (excluding retroactive support).
